EVER heard of a place where houses are designed without doors, cupboards have no locks, showcases no doors and residents are discouraged from buying locks? If anyone fails to follow this diktat, they are warned of grave consequences.

In a temple town in Maharashtra doors and locks are banned as a mark of respect to the deity

Kadmat is a beautiful Island, located in the Arabian Sea, as part of the Lakshadweep Islands. It is situated 407 kms. far from Kochi (Cochin) in the Indian state of Kerala(’11* 13*’ north latitude; ‘72* 48*’ east longitude). One of the largest islands in the group of islands in the Lakshadweep, Kadmat is 8 Km long and 550 m wide at the broadest point. Surrounded on the eastern and western side by a reef lagoon, Kadmat is the ideal heaven of solitude.

Forts of Goa

Most of the forts built in Goa are high up on the hills and offer a grand view of the Arabian Sea.  The forts are dotted from Tiracol Fort, which is at the northernmost tip of Goa to Cabo da Rama in the south.  These forts are built using laterite stone.  Most of these forts are in ruins but they form the nostalgic and historical part of Goa’s heritage.

Dwarka is both a city and municipality located in the Jamnagar District of Gujarat State and is well known as the dwelling place of the legendary Lord Krishna. This is the seventh rebuild of the city since the sea and the tides destroyed six previous rebuilds of the city and each city is built on top of the previous one.
