Ford to build ski resort at Manali

Shimla:The Rs 1,700 crore ski village planned by American auto giant Ford in Manali is undoubtedly one of the country's most prestigious projects.

CM Virbhadra Singh said that he had discussed the Himalayan ski village proposal at a meeting with the head of the auto giant Alfred Brush Ford, who had called on him on Thursday along with other company officials.

                   He said the state had opened its doors to entrepreneurs from all over the world and many industries had approached it with proposals to invest in different sectors of the state.He added that he would welcome industries which were eco-friendly and beneficial to the people and helped the local area's development.
