New Delhi : Air travellers, from the eastern part of India and other parts of India can look forward to more flexibility in getting lower rate tickets, with the country's only low-cost airline, Air Deccan, all set to not only add more flights but also more destinations to it's route network.

The airline has accquired two more Airbus A-320s in February which have been deployed to launch flights on the Kolkata-Delhi and Kolkata-Mumbai sectors, apart from enhancing connectivity between various cities, inlcuding the Bangalore-Delhi sector.

Besides, the airline will also place the smaller ATR aircraft in Kolkata to launch operations into the north-eastern parts of the country.

Airline sources said that they were looking at launching routes such as Kolkata-Jamshedpur and Kolkata-Guwahati, apart from linking other destinations in the north-eastern parts of the country. They were also looking to connecting more cities in central India.

The launch of flights to new destinations and expanding the connectivity in existing destinations will see the airline offer fares which are lower than the prevalent ones offered by the competing airlines.
